Approached from the east, your 3400+ square foot home resides on a knoll in an orchard clearing. Stone and stucco and wood combine to reflect a timberland country influence, while providing a strong connection to the earth. (Photo) The road leads up to the east end of your home, where an angled garage is connected to the house with a short breezeway (Photo). This extends into the entrance porch, providing protection from natures elements, and beckoning visitors to come inside. (Photo)

The foyer is warm and inviting, designed to be used by family and guests alike. (Photo) To the left is a guest closet and bath, (Photo) and on the right is a utility and mudroom space. The kitchen and hearth room open to the left as you proceed down the corridor (Photo), with a sunroom off to the east end (Photo). A corner fireplace warms this space where the family will spend much of it's time. Over the main sink a large window overlooks the covered porch and view to the south. An island with a raised edge (Photo) allows the kitchen visual connection to the corridor and great room beyond, while keeping the cooking mess out of sight (Photo).

The great room is at the heart of the house, with an open timber frame (Photo), and a large central stone fireplace (Photo). The dining area is at the south end, with tall windows and French doors to the wrap around porch. Doors at either side of the fireplace lead to the den and guest spaces (Photo), and a L-shaped stair at the north end of the room leads to the open loft above (Photo).

The loft (Photo) is large enough to be the reading area, and overlooks the great room below (Photo). The master suite (Photo) is on one side of the loft and includes a small sitting area and a balcony overlooking the southwestern views of the valley. This suite is completed by a wonderful bathing (Photo) and dressing room with separate closet areas. On the other side of the loft is the children's play area with two bedrooms, a bath, and a shared sun porch study room.

The unfinished basement is reached by the stairs leading down from the kitchen corridor and extends under the great room and den guest area of the main floor. There are windows and outside access on the south end for the future recreation room and plenty of storage and mechanical space.
